After spotting this fish in a deep hole, I tried my chance with a heavy nymph in order to present my flies right in front of the fish. Sure enough, the fish ate the flies and the fight was on.
After one of the most epic fights with 2 crazy jumps, this fish brought me to my backing.
Putting pressure on him in order to keep the few remaining meters of the backing, the middle section of my rod dislocated. I finally succeeded to land this absolute beauty of a rainbow trout.
This beast weighed 36 pounds in the net, the net weighed 2 pounds, a final weight of 34 pounds!!
I was using a 6 weight rod and 5/6 Ross Evolution Reel.
